Terms of Use
These terms set expectations for adult participants who use Clean Economy Educators accounts, lessons, role approval, and booking services.

Agreement to these terms
These terms govern use of the Clean Economy Educators website and matching tools. By creating or using an account, you agree to follow these terms and the Privacy Notice.
Eligibility and student privacy
- You must be at least 18 years old to create or use an account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
- Do not submit student names, student records, or other student personal information.
- Do not use Clean Economy Educators for unlawful, deceptive, harassing, discriminatory, or unsafe activity.
Applications and approval
Creating an account does not approve a teacher or substitute role. Clean Economy Educators reviews roles separately and may request additional information, approve, reject, suspend, or revoke access when needed for program integrity or safety.
Employment relationships
Clean Economy Educators provides matching and scheduling tools. It does not employ participants or issue employment contracts. Any employment or staffing arrangement is handled separately by the participating school or district.
Shift matching and booking
- Showing interest does not commit either person to a shift. A shift is booked only after the teacher selects a substitute and the substitute confirms.
- Participants must provide accurate shift, availability, instruction, and contact information.
- Material shift changes require review and may allow the selected substitute to decline.
- Participants remain responsible for following applicable school and district requirements.
Lessons and program materials
Clean Economy Educators lessons and downloads may be used only as permitted by the rights and access shown with the materials. Do not remove notices, redistribute restricted files, claim authorship, or use materials after access has been withdrawn.
Account communications
Clean Economy Educators sends required security, account, approval, and shift messages to operate the service. Optional marketing emails, if you choose to receive them, include an unsubscribe link.
Service availability
Clean Economy Educators may change, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, safety, legal, or program reasons. The service may occasionally be unavailable. Do not rely on the platform as the sole source of urgent safety or school-operating information.
Suspension and account deletion
Clean Economy Educators may restrict or remove access for misuse, inaccurate information, loss of approval, safety concerns, or violation of these terms. A user-requested deletion currently includes a 30-day recovery period before designated personal profile fields are anonymized.
Text message program
Clean Economy Educators offers an optional text message program for approved teachers and substitutes. Texts are limited to the time-sensitive booking moments where minutes decide whether a classroom is covered: a new opening that matches your saved preferences, a booking confirmation, and booking reminders one week before, the day before, and about two hours before you teach, which can arrive early in the morning. Every one of these updates is also sent by email, so texting is an addition to the service and never a requirement for using it.
You choose to receive texts by turning them on yourself in Notification settings inside your account, which requires a phone number on your profile. You can turn them off in the same place at any time.
Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using Clean Economy Educators. Message frequency varies with your own booking activity and typically runs to a few messages per booking. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts. You will receive one confirmation that texting has ended, and email will continue to carry every update.
- Reply START to begin receiving texts again.
- Reply HELP for help, or write to support@cleaneconomyed.org.
