Answers for classroom teachers, substitute teachers, students, and school and district leaders. Nothing here needs an account.

You teach a Minnesota classroom and want a prepared plan for the days you are away.

What Clean Economy Educators is

A substitute day becomes an in-school field trip into clean-economy work.

Clean Economy Educators is a program of the nonprofit We All Need Food and Water. Schools book substitutes who arrive with a prepared clean-economy career lesson, so a day the regular teacher is away still moves learning forward.

We do not teach fear. We teach possibility. Lessons show students real work, real skills, and the part they can play in it.

What an in-school field trip looks like

The class stays in its own room, and the lesson brings the outside work in.

An in-school field trip is a single class period built around one clean-economy question. Students work with real data, real job titles, and decisions people make in their own communities.

Every lesson names the subject it fits and the provider that wrote it, so a classroom teacher can read the whole plan before the day arrives.

Classroom teachers: how to join

Create an account, name one Minnesota school, and wait for approval.

Create an account and submit one Minnesota school for Clean Economy Educators approval. Approval confirms that you teach where you say you teach before you can post an opening.

Once you are approved you can post openings, offer them to substitutes you already trust, and choose from the substitutes who show interest.
