This notice explains what information Clean Economy Educators uses to operate accounts, role approval, lesson access, and teacher and substitute matching.
Last updated July 29, 2026
Who we are
Clean Economy Educators is a program of the nonprofit We All Need Food and Water. Clean Economy Educators connects approved Minnesota teachers and substitutes around classroom coverage and clean-economy lessons.
Information we collect
- Account and contact information, including name, email address, and phone number.
- Role application information, including school affiliation, availability, and school or district preferences.
- Matching and booking activity, including shift details, expressions of interest, confirmations, lesson selections, work history, and correction requests.
- Support and communication records, including support requests and required account or shift notifications.
- Technical and security information processed by the services that host, protect, and deliver the application.
No student personal information
Clean Economy Educators is designed for adult educators and administrators. Do not enter student names, student records, or other student personal information into profiles, shift notes, support requests, or any other part of the service.
How we use information
- Create and secure accounts, verify email addresses, and recover access.
- Review teacher and substitute role applications and maintain Clean Economy Educators participation status.
- Match approved participants, coordinate shifts, and provide the selected lesson materials.
- Send required account, security, matching, and service messages.
- Respond to support requests, prevent misuse, investigate incidents, and maintain audit records.
- Meet legal, grant, reporting, and nonprofit operational obligations where applicable.
When information is shared
Clean Economy Educators does not sell personal information. Information is shared only as needed to operate the program, complete confirmed shifts, protect the service, or comply with law.
- Approved teachers and substitutes receive limited profile and contact information at the stages described in the service.
- Authorized Clean Economy Educators administrators can review applications, support records, and operational activity.
- Service providers may process information for hosting, authentication, database, email delivery, security, and monitoring.
- Information may be disclosed when required by law or needed to protect participants, Clean Economy Educators, or the public.
Email communications
Security, account, approval, and active-shift messages are required while the related account or role is active. Optional marketing emails, if you choose to receive them, include an unsubscribe link.
Text messages
If you turn on text messages, your phone number is used only to send the booking updates described in the terms and is shared only with service providers needed to deliver those messages. Message frequency varies with your booking activity, and message and data rates may apply. Mobile information, opt-in data, and consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Reply STOP to end texts or HELP for help. Turning texts off leaves the rest of your account and required email updates untouched.
Retention and account deletion
An account deletion request begins a 30-day recovery period. After that period, Clean Economy Educators anonymizes designated profile fields. Some audit, security, booking, work-history, or legal records may be retained when needed for program integrity or legal obligations.
Your choices
- Review and update available profile and contact information in your account.
- Request account deletion and use the recovery process during the 30-day recovery period.
- Contact Clean Economy Educators to ask about access, correction, privacy, or support.
- Unsubscribe from optional marketing without disabling required account or shift messages.
Security
Clean Economy Educators uses access controls, local testing, audit records, and service providers intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Contact support promptly if you believe an account or message has been compromised.
Adults only
Clean Economy Educators accounts are for people age 18 or older. The service is not directed to children and is not intended to collect personal information from students.
Changes and contact
Clean Economy Educators may update this notice as the program or its legal obligations change. Material updates will be identified on this page. Privacy and support questions can be sent to support@cleaneconomyed.org.
